Surgical / O.R. Techs

The 1199 Health & Employment Center is actively seeking qualified candidates interested in working either Full-Time, Part-Time or Temporary positions at " New York Presbyterian Hospital " one of our member institutions in Upper Manhattan . We are currently seeking Surgical / O.R. Techs.

Duties:

Assist in operations, under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. May help set up operating room, prepare and transport patients for surgery, adjust lights and equipment, pass instruments and other supplies to surgeons and surgeon's assistants, hold retractors, cut sutures, and help count sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments

Surgical / O.R. Tech Qualifications:

Candidate must have completed a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician or comparable training program. Must have experience as an O.R. Technician/ Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting. Surgical Technologist certification is preferred. Must have National Certification with less than 5 years experience or be certificate eligible with 3 plus years exp.
